Random pictures

Zander's hair is getting whiter and whiter and his cute little head is getting pretty tan it almost looks like his hair is glowing. I get a lot of people that say, "Oh he finally has hair, I think it's mostly because it's hard not to see now that it is so white. I love his little smile with all of his cute teeth. He' s also starting to do the Digga digga talk as we used to call it when Ivie used to jabber away.

I got a new swimsuit for the summer. Ivie decided to try it on too. I just hope it doesn't look better on her than it will on me :)

Ivie and Zander painting together. They look very serious. Notice Ivie's artistic hair.

duck pond

My kids love this place. It pretty much has everything to entertain them until I want to go home- they could stay there all day! The ducks and geese always walk right up to Ivie and Zander and they get so excited.

The Canadian goose looks like it's talking to Zander who seems as if he might actually understand him.

We're expecting #3

I am due December 7th. Gotta love those winter birthdays. Apparently I do! I am still in the really fun trimester; when you feel tired, sick, and pudgy. It is sad that I am already showing, either that or I have been eating way too much pudding. Probably the pudding, but what do you do when you don't want to eat anything else. I have definitely been a victim to pregnancy cravings this time around.
Ivie is excited, she tells me it's a girl and wants to name her Selma, or Tysha. When I tell her that we can't use those names because they are names of our friend's little girls, she tells me I can name her san-ha. I guess we'll see. We actually already have names picked out for a boy or a girl. Hope she's not disappointed if we don't use her suggestions :)
Despite all my complaining in this post, we are really excited to be expecting our third little froerer. And if this one has blonde hair and blue eyes too, I think Lance might start wondering if these are really his children. I guess they get my looks and Lance's craziness.

Easter (2nd attempt)

O.K. so I got it to work. I'm still getting used to the new

format on our new computer. That was our present from the Easter Bunny. And perfect timing since our laptop died again.

Easter!

We had a fun Easter. A visit from the Easter Bunny brought underwear, fairy wings, hair clips, and my little ponies for Ivie; and a memory game, dot painters, and a little fuzzy pet for Zander. The pet was supposed to move on its own, come to find out that it has a string attached to it and it was just a cheap magic trick. Zander and Ivie still fight over it. I just cut the dumb string off. We then had a Easter egg hunt at my Mom's where the adults also got candy and prizes. Lance loves this kind of stuff and obviously got into it.
(I am having a problem loading all the pictures on, hopefully I'll figure it out)

Lion House Roll recipe

I have had a couple people ask me for my roll recipe. It's actually the Lion House roll recipe. I went to a cooking demonstration and they taught us exactly how they make them. Here it is.

2 cups warm water (110-115 degrees)
2/3 cup nonfat dry milk (instant or non-instant)
2 Tb. dry yeast or two packets (they suggested SAF yeast)
1/4 cup sugar
2 tsp. salt
1/3 cup butter (at room temp. or softened but not melted)
1 egg
5-5 1/2 cups flour

In a mixer (bosch or kitchen aid type mixer) combine water and the milk powder and stir until milk dissolves. Add yeast, then sugar, salt, butter, egg, and 2 cups of the flour. Mix on low until ingredients are wet then turn to med. speed and mix for 2 minutes. Add two more cups of flour mix on low until ingredients are wet and then on med. for 2 min., add 1/2 cup at a time until dough starts to clean the sides of the bowl and feels soft and slightly sticky. Let dough rise covered until double (this could take 15-45 minutes)(don't let it overrise or it will taste yeasty) Sprinkle counter with flour and put dough on top and roll out to about 1/4 inch thickness.
spread about a 1/4 cup of butter on top then use a pizza cutter to cut strips about 2 inches wide and 3-4 iches long then roll and place on a greased cookie sheet about an inch apart, with cut edge laying flat on baking sheet. Let rise in a warm place for 1-1 1/2 hours. Bake in 375 degree oven for 15-18 minutes. or until browned to your satisfaction. Brush rolls with butter when they are first taken from the oven.

You can use this recipe for cinnamon rolls too. After you roll out the dough and spread butter on it. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Roll up like a jellyroll and take a piece of waxed, unflavored floss and place under dough then cross and pull to cut the dough into the cinnamon rolls, allow to rise until double. Place on greased cookie sheet and bake at 375 for 10-15 min.

Frosting
3 cups powdered sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
1/3-1/2 cup cream, or milk
mix until smooth and spread on warm cinnamon rolls.

Sego Lily Blogger Contest

So all I have to do is tell you why I think I would be the best Blogger for Sego Lily Spa and I get 24 FREE treatments? Well then, let me just tell you that I am indeed the best blogger in the world. It has been my lifelong dream to be Sego Lily Spa's Blogger, as well as to go to the spa on a regular basis. Unusual, I know. Oh, how I daydream about the cucumbers over my eyes while someone massages my scalp, my body being wrapped in scentaliscious sea weed, my feet dripping in delectably soothing mud baths. When I first heard about this opportunity I had a long talk with my fingers and toes and we decided that we could handle a few extra pedicures and manicures during the upcoming year. I have had the chance to experience the Sego Lily Spa before and it was quite fabulous. From the luxurious robes, refreshing tonics and deliciously delicious fruits, the relaxing ambiance, to the incredible massage that made me want to make the spa my permanent residence. Therefore, I would be absolutely ecstatic to win this contest, and I would be more than happy to blog about all of my amazing experiences.
